Baker’s Bothy

Situated on a hillside overlooking the gin distillery and café, with extensive views across the Kilbrannan Sound to Arran and over the surrounding hills, our beautiful new bothies provide the perfect base from which to enjoy the unspoiled beauty of the Kintyre Peninsula.   

Built to a unique design and utilising green practices such as ground screws and solar power, the bothies are fully double glazed and well insulated to maximise energy efficiency.  Heated by log stoves, the cabins are extremely cosy. 

The bothies provide a  luxurious glamping style experience with fantastic views over the Kilbrannan Sound.   They comprise a walk-in shower room with WC, a small but well-equipped kitchenette, double height living area and a mezzanine bedroom with king-sized bed.  

With timber lined walls, a feature log burning stove, an elevated decking area and a further external seating area with firepit, there is plenty space, inside and out! 

Two bags of logs are provided free of charge and you can purchase more logs during your stay. There is no TV or WiFi at the properties, however there is a good 4G signal with most providers and the nearby cafe has free WiFi.  And there are plenty of books and a few games to keep you going! 

The internal stairs are steep so the bothies are suitable only for those with good mobility.  Parking is close by, however guests will need to walk the short distance from there to the bothies.  A wheelbarrow is provided to help you transport your belongings. 

The kitchen includes a microwave, a 2-ring electric hob, hob kettle, toaster and small fridge with a freezer compartment. Please be aware that there is no oven. 

An EV charge point is available just a few yards away from the bothies.
